Doug Witt,
When we were approached by Bruce Olsen of Bureau of Land Management and asked about our interest in cooperating with them in their task of fire prevention, we were very interested. He explained that the primary tool would be dead brush clearing and that it would remove the fuels and help protect our homes in case of fire. We had a unanimous vote by our residents to proceed because we knew that fire prevention was vital.
When the machine (now fondly dubbed "a home made tank") arrived, we watched in wonder as it began to spit out dead trees, brush and dust.
Enviro-Land Management Services, LLC. has contracted with the LBM to provide this service to work with a neighborhood to clear BLM land that abuts neighborhood property and homes. They will leave a healthier forest floor that looks so much better and will help reduce fuel for any fire that will threaten our homes in the near future.
Fantastic job Doug. I enjoyed watching that awesome machine at work! Thanks for coming to our neighborhood, we highly recommend your service.
